Review: UNI DAY at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences
Again this year,
the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences "Friedrich List" opened its doors to prospective students, parents, and guests as part of TU Dresden’s UNI TAG. The event provided a comprehensive insight into the faculty’s diverse study programmes, research activities, and career opportunities in the fields of transport, mobility, and logistics.
The programme included presentations on the faculty’s degree programmes, individual counselling sessions, discussions with students and academic staff, as well as guided tours of laboratories and research facilities. Visitors had the opportunity not only to learn about the academic content of the programmes but also to gain first-hand insights into current research projects and the practical orientation of studies and research at the faculty.

We were particularly pleased by the strong interest in the faculty’s offerings. In addition to numerous visitors from Dresden and the wider Saxony region, we welcomed prospective students from many parts of Germany. Furthermore, several international guests took the opportunity to learn more about studying at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. This broad national and international reach highlights the attractiveness of our degree programmes and reflects the growing importance of sustainable mobility and transport solutions in an increasingly interconnected world.
UNI DAY 2026 was characterized by engaging discussions, insightful questions, and an open exchange between visitors, students, researchers, and academic staff. The positive feedback we received once again demonstrated the value of such events in supporting study orientation and providing authentic insights into university life.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. In particular, we thank our students, academic and administrative staff, and faculty members for their dedication in organizing information stands, delivering presentations, conducting tours, and answering countless questions throughout the day. We also extend our thanks to all visitors for their interest and for the many inspiring conversations.
We look forward to welcoming many of our visitors back to the "Friedrich List" Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences in the future and wish them every success in their academic and professional journeys.
