Teaching Award 2026
The “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences and the FSR Verkehr are once again offering a teaching award to recognize particularly outstanding teaching.
Two teaching awards will be presented each academic year: to a teacher in undergraduate education
(undergraduate program in Transportation Engineering or Bachelor’s in Transportation Economics)and to a teacher in advanced-level teaching (Advanced Studies in Transportation Engineering, Master’s programs).
The selection process consists of two stages. In the first stage, students have until Friday, July 3, 2026, to nominate individuals and the corresponding courses they took during the previous winter semester or are currently taking during the current summer semester. From these nominations, the FSR Verkehr will select the most frequently nominated candidates and those with the most compelling justifications. In the second step, students may hold a runoff vote among these nominations by Friday, July 17, 2026.
Based on the results of the runoff vote, the FSR Verkehr compiles a ranking for the award by considering the ratio of event attendees to the number of nominations for the instructor, which is then submitted to the Faculty Council for approval.
The award ceremony for the teaching awards, each endowed with €250, is expected to take place on Faculty Day in November.
